Devki, as a bride, looked timeless. We can stumble across her pictures 3 to 4 years from now and she’d still be a major inspiration for brides-to-be! Her wedding has been well documented over the Internet – and we wanted to include her full album on our blog as well! So here we go!
Proposal:
Devki and Dhanraj have been together for 12 years and a lot of those years were spent in a long-distance relationship (Other LDR couples reading this, here’s a ray of sunshine for you). Devki works in London while Dhanraj works as a lawyer in Dubai. The proposal was planned in London with a magic show as the setup. The whole family flew by but were in hiding until Dan proposed. So the plan was Devki would be on the stage by the magician for a trick. He would ask her to select a number that relates to a Disney character and that character will be Prince Charming. The magician will go backstage to try and turn into the character. BUT when he does that, Dan takes his place and comes with a ring (Aww!). It’s as sweet as it sounds. Watch the video.
Pre Wedding Shoot:
Devki & Dhanraj had a classy pre-wedding shoot with a royal home set up as the background. The regal couple dressed their very best. Devki wore a red ensemble by Gaurav Gupta, while Dhanraj donned a dark blue 2-piece suit set.
Mehendi:
The couple’s dreamy destination wedding started with a soothing day mehendi ceremony. Set around the grand outdoor pool arena of Fairmont, the ceremony’s cozy vibes was just what the couple and the guests needed to luxuriate in the hotel’s premises. Devki looked amazing in a monochrome yellow outfit by Anamika Khanna with the designer’s signature embroidered work. She paired it up with pink floral jewellery, that was such a unique combination to her yellow & blue lehenga. As for her makeup, she went for a blush nude look and kept her hair open with beautiful waves. The groom wore a white kurta pyjama with a floral Nehru jacket to match his bride.
Sangeet:
Next up was the lively and fun-packed sangeet night. The decor was done in white floral blooms and peachy drapes. The LED sangeet stage looked absolutely mesmerising as the couple grooved on their night. Adding to the event’s glam was bride Devki. Clad in a beautiful silver lehenga by Falguni Shane Peacock paired with a diamond necklace and hair set in an open fishtail braid hairstyle, she looked absolutely mesmerising. He beau dressed in a blue sherwani matched her with so much class!
Wedding:
Devki & Dan’s Kashmiri wedding was an affair to remember. From the bride’s pastel pink Sabyasachi lehenga to her adorable pictures with her father and the dreamy floral mandap set on a pool, there’s so much to love about her big day! After the day’s wedding, the couple had a reception night on the same day. Devki refined her lehenga style and hair like a pro for the after-party and the end result was phenomenal.
