Proposals are special. They are life-changing. They are sweet. And they are just downright beautiful! Taking that next step in a relationship requires commitment, solidarity, and patience. When a man gets down on one knee for his partner, he knows that the couple’s journey will be taking a huge turn from here. It will get onto a path of bliss, harmony and forever kinda love! Well, without a doubt, this moment requires careful planning and attention.
However, that doesn’t mean it has to be at an exotic location with the most extravagant decoration and drenched in lavishness. And in no way, we are saying that those proposals aren’t special. We have actually been big fans of such sumptuous proposals like this Dreamy Maldives proposal of Sonam Babani. The point is ‘to each it’s own here’!
Every couple has their own unique story that unraveled to this day. And we feel that this uniqueness should be somehow included in this special day! That’s what blogger Niki Mehra’s man Sid Madan did when she proposed to her at the highest bar in London.
Niki Mehra met her boyfriend two years ago at a fashion show. She is a fashion blogger and he is a fashion entrepreneur, so they naturally connected at once. Somehow the connection was much deeper than they expected and at some point, both of them knew they had met the one they will marry one day! How romantic!
Every girl always imagines her proposal to be perfect and magical. And of course, personalized in its own unique way. Niki and Sid’s proposal was special and unique too. Here’s how the bride-to-be described her beautiful proposal.
“We met on 18th feb exactly two years ago during London fashion week when he first asked me out on a date. He took me to the highest bar in London, sat me down by the window where I could see the entire city and told me “ the view is perfect, the mood is perfect, will you be my girlfriend” leaned and kissed me.
Two years later, the love of my life took me to the exact same place, booked the exact same table by the window and said “ the view is better, the mood is better… will you be my wife?”
Since it was their anniversary, Niki was all dressed up oblivious of what the night is holding on for her. She clad herself in a red corset dress with a v-neck off shoulder pattern. For makeup, she kept it all-natural and dewy and kept her hair flowing with smooth waves.
Look at that perfect princess cut engagement ring though. Sid’s mother worked on the ring for the last 3-4 months and got it done by a family jeweler, as informed by Niki. What a thoughtful MIL!
