Whenever celebrity actresses become a bride, they launch a rocket of trend-setting ideas & inspiration that leaves a mark in the wedding world. Consider Anushka Sharma’s pastel rose lehenga which led us to witness a surge in pastel lehengas for weddings or Alia Bhatt’s white saree look which saw a rise in ivory outfits for weddings – previously considered a taboo in many Indian cultures. Similarly, when Kiara Advani’s bridal look was revealed, her soft pink lehenga and diamond-emerald jewelry caught the attention. The elements inspired many brides-to-be to include the exact details in their bridal look.
However, one bride already donned similar elements as Kiara much before the actress got married in a grand Jaisalmer wedding. Sakshi Gupta tied the knot with her beau in a similar pink shade lehenga and that too was embroidered with pearls and crystals to match the embellishments on the lehenga. Besides the attire, Gupta also wore diamond jewelry with chunky emerald stones in the middle which covered the whole neck. Her makeup was kept simple as well and she also wore a maangtikka just like Kiara’s wedding look on her D-Day! The similarity between the looks baffled everyone and you can witness it yourself below.
Not just the bridal look, even both the grooms looked quite similar so their couple portraits also have an uncanny resemblance to that of Siddharth Malhotra & Kiara Advani. Siddharth Malhotra wore a bandhgala sherwani with intricate badla work, zardozi, and threadwork as well. The ivory sherwani with subtle gold accents complemented Kiara’s soft pink look beautifully. Similarly, Sakshi’s husband also wore an ivory sherwani with minimal accessories with his groom’s look. The only difference is that Kiara’s lehenga is done in an ombre pattern while Sakshi’s has a monotone pink shade. But it’s the shade of pink on top and the jewelry is causing the resemblance more than anything!
