When an influencer gets married, you can be assured her wedding fiesta would be full of inspiration. Diipa Khosla got married in 2018 at the lavish Fateh Garh Resort in Udaipur & all her 9 wedding looks were Pin-worthy. With a gorgeous 360 degree view of Aravalli mountain range, the location was just apt for the global influencer’s 4-day long celebrations.
Diipa first met Oleg at their university grounds in Amsterdam. It was her first day and Oleg was the student body President, and in his final year. Oleg invited Dipa to his office for a few formalities and while he was interested in her, Dipa felt a little intimidated by him. And there goes their first awkward encounter.
Although the couple connected on FB, and shared a general curiosity about each other, their different social circles and Oleg’s supposed reputation as a player stalled their love story for a while. 5 years later, when Oleg was working as a diplomat for Dutch foreign service and Diipa established herself as a renowned influencer, he sent her a ‘Happy Birthday’ text on FB, along with a date proposal.
With Oleg’s reputation still in Diipa’s back of the mind, the date didn’t happen until about 6 months after the FB message. “It was perfect and magical,” Diipa describes her first date with Oleg to Harper’s Bazaar. The pair were smitten with each other and despite their contrasting cultures – their foundations, values and views about the world were same.
Just 3 months after being official, Oleg told Diipa ‘this will be the year I’ll be proposing to you’. And then came the setup of the most magical surprise proposal. Oleg and Diipa were planning a trip to India in mid-2016. But the week they were supposed to leave, Oleg told her he couldn’t come due to some secret diplomatic mission, which he can’t disclose.
While in India, Diipa was invited to an event and she took her sister as her ‘plus one’. When she arrived, there were paparazzi and hotel manager frantically asking her to rush as she was already late. Pacing her way to the hotel and puzzled to not see anyone, she stepped into the courtyard, all decorated with candles and Oleg standing right opposite to her in a tux.
He proposed to her with a ring that had been in his family for five generations. Diipa’s proposal was 6 months in the making and the day was one of the BEST for the couple. Diipa Khosla + Oleg Buller Wedding
Mehendi:
The Bullslas wedding commenced with a day mehendi ceremony. As predicted, Diipa’s first wedding look went viral and no one could wait for what’s to come next. For the ceremony, she slipped into a printed ivory Sabyasachi saree with a heavily embellished sequined blouse. Seldom does a bride opt for a sari on one of her main events, so Diipa’s unusual attire choice surely grabs attention.
She collaborated with MAC for her wedding. So all her makeup was done by MAC artist Nisha, who is also an education manager at MAC cosmetics. She dolled her up with a faux-fringe bun, light brown eyes, dewy base and a nude lip. Oleg, on the other hand, wore a floral printed ivory sherwani with a dusty pink dupatta.
Sangeet:
Following the mehendi was the Sangeet night, which was one happening event. To make sure her dance moves come out perfectly, Diipa clad herself in a dusty pink co-ord set by Anamika Khanna for the night, while Oleg looked all dapper in a simple kurta-pyjama set. Keeping up with her clever attempt in making sure nothing hinders her dance, Diipa paired her millennial outfit with a puffy ponytail hairstyle and shimmery makeup. She ditched the necklace and just wore a pair of waterfall earrings as her jewellery.
Chooda Ceremony:
For her simplistic Chooda ceremony, Diipa wore a floral lehenga with a maroon blouse that had a plunging neckline. Acing the minimal look, she paired her attire with a sleek bun, statement choker and nude makeup. The pictures of this ceremony, as opposed to other events, were emotionally brimming, and we especially heart the picture of Diipa’s mom embracing her.
Haldi:
Next up in line was the fun Haldi bash. Without a doubt, Haldi is the most cheery event for couples as well as their relatives. Diipa and Oleg’s Haldi ceremony looks super joyful. Diipa wore a golden embroidered lehenga set for the event. While Oleg wore an ivory Kurta pyjama. We love Diipa’s bridal hairstyle, adorned with mogra flowers, used both as a crown and as a braid embellishment.
Indian Wedding:
The highlight of the couple’s Indian wedding was Oleg touching Diipa’s feet as a sign of mutual respect. Breaking the shackles of patriarchy, the couple set new standards to embrace Indian rituals while supporting gender equality. For their pheras, Diipa and Oleg were both seen in Sabyasachi couture. The bride chose a ravishing velvet Sabyasachi lehenga, which weighed a whopping 20 kgs. The gold embroidery and quality cloth made her attire look all royal and was a perfect pick for her palace wedding.
As always she kept her makeup simple, although donned a bridal red lip this time. For jewellery, Diipa wore the same choker as her Chooda ceremony, and added matha patti, jhumka earring and bajubandh to her bridal look. Oleg wore an embroidered sherwani from the same designer and looked utterly handsome as a ‘Dulha’ (just like Nick).

Christian Wedding:
Following all the colorful Indian wedding ceremonies, Diipa & Oleg planned their civil wedding ceremony resembling the South of France. The decor was done with white roses sourced from Delhi, although most of the other decor elements were sourced from local vendors in Udaipur. And then came Diipa’s showstopper look with such elaborately embroidered outfit, it’s hard to not gawk at it.
The dress was designed by Lebanon based designer Ashi. His work is revered all over the world and Diipa was fixated on the idea of him designing her dress. She looked like a Disney princess walking down the aisle, with her Prince Charming dressed in a Boggi Milano for their special day.
Reception:
Wrapping up their wedding carnival with an effervescent reception night, Diipa wore a gray lehenga set by Dubai based designer Faraz Manan and teamed it up with a diamond necklace. Oleg, on the other hand, was seen in a black velvet sherwani. The couple relished in the blissful conclusion of their wedding celebration, while embarking on the adventurous journey of marriage.
