Two people who are supposed to be together will always find each other. And the couple we’re featuring today had their paths intermingled through Instagram DM’s. Sachin sent Himanshi a direct message on Insta, and seeing they had some mutual friends, Himanshi replied. They started chatting and discovered their mutual love for burgers, dance and travelling.
Sachin didn’t take much time to ask Himanshi out, but considering they had met only through Instagram, she said NO. Sachin won’t give up though. The chats continued with some flirting here & there. During one instance, Sachin uploaded a photo of himself while traveling to Bangkok and Himanshi commenced, “Aahan Bangkok” and he humorously replied, “chid ku rahi hay, agle trip pe tu sath chal lio”. And the happy coincidence is Sachin’s next International trip was with Himanshi, it was their honeymoon.
The couple took a step ahead when Sachin moved to the same gym as Himanshi. He just casually asked about her gym and one day, whilst on the treadmill, she noticed someone familiar, and it was none other than Sachin!! Their first awkward meeting just ended up with them smiling at each other. And the next few with just ‘Hi’ and ‘Bye’.
Sachin offered to drop her home, but Himanshi said No yet again. He knew Himanshi was apprehensive because they met through Instagram, so he assured her and asked her out once again. “Don’t you know why I come to the gym? I wanted to see you in person and now I want to meet you in person too.. Can we go out?,” and Himanshi said YES!
“Meeting Sachin was meeting a male version of ME! Exactly the same!,” said Himanshi of her first time meeting her future husband. “I remember it was our first coffee date that was supposed to last an hour but extended to three hours as we are both very talkative. After then we started meeting every week and I don’t know when I felt for this charming boy.”
After a month of dating Sachin introduced Himanshi to his parents and as Himanshi was a little nervous about telling her parents, Sachin himself met her mom and convinced her of their relationship. Their roka was fixed and so was the wedding. Within just one year of dating, Sachin and Himanshi were husband and wife. They got married on 30th January 2020.
“We did all our wedding planning together. From shopping, venues, dresses – Sachin was there with me through all. In our courtship, I remember there was not a single day that we missed to meet. From his sagan attire to sherwani to my sagan dress and complete trousseau, we went together to get it all, from selection of photography team to selection of places to go on honeymoon,” said Himanshi. “Sachin used to take me everywhere for everything, making me his priority, his better half already and making me feel important by taking my opinions. From just a “burger khayegi” friend he made me his Special person and advisor for life. I am thankful that this quick twist of marriage came to life.”
Now that you have heard all about her beautiful story, let’s dig straight into the wedding pictures.
Engagement:
The couple’s festivities kick started with an engagement ceremony. For the occasion, Himanshi slipped into a shimmery golden gown and Sachin wore a Indo-western sherwani. The bride’s entire creation was embellished with beads and hand-embroidery. A diamond jewellery set, highlighted makeup and a red lip served as the finishing touches for the look.
Sagan:
First in line for the wedding festivities was the Sagan ceremony for the couple. Staying true to her fashionista style, our stunner Himanshi opted for a blush pink lehenga for the ceremony. The ensemble came with a designer blouse with flared sleeves and a flared lehenga. The bride rounded off with a puffy ponytail hairstyle, glowy makeup and a nudish pink lip. Sachin complemented her in a black sherwani set.
Mehendi:
The Sagan ceremony was followed by a mehendi party. Going the millennial route, Himanshi wore an emerald green pant-style lehenga set. She teamed it up with contrasting pink jewellery. Groom Sachin matched his bride-to-be in the same color 3-piece kurta pyjama set. The cute snaps will win your heart.
Wedding:
The couple sealed the deal on their epic wedding night. For her big day, Himanshi went the usual route of donning red and opted for a surreal ensemble from Chandni Chowk’s trusted lehenga store – Sudhir Bhai Saree Wala. The attention of her whole look was the striking jewellery pieces – mathapatti with chandbali designs and chunky choker set. For the makeup, she went for a full glam look, with smokey eyes and a bright red lip. Sachin, on the other hand, wore an ivory sherwani for the wedding along with a red, embroidered dupatta to complement his bride.
Honeymoon:
You know how we are loving couple’s documenting their honeymoon and wanting to get them featured for inspiration. Sachin & Himanshi had a memorable honeymoon spanning through Maldives, Sri Lanka and Dubai. Here are some amazing pictures from their trip.
