Sunandini & Abhinav met through a common friend in the most random setup with friends of friends invited to a get-together. A casual conversation about the most unexpected things was the beginning of their love story. Just 8 months into the relationship Abhinav proposed to Sunandini in London. “It was the most beautiful setting in white – just the way I like it,” says the bride.
Wedding planning started soon after and the couple settled on one detail; they wanted a destination wedding. “We started to explore our options besides India and UAE. After a lot of research and planning, we decided on Antalya, Turkey. There were a lot of challenges along the way, the most important being the cultural barrier as they would not understand Indian customs, and finding vendors like that for henna became a task. However, everything fell into place and it all was managed well. We also kept the decor minimal which made things easy and also bought the simplistic elegance that we wanted for our big day to life,” she adds.
Dreamy Outfits
Sunandini’s lehengas were the epitome of grace and elegance. Whether it was the pastel beige color for the sundowner ceremony or the gorgeous pink-blue combination for the mehendi, she picked her lehengas with careful consideration for the theme and her style and looked ravishing in each function. “I wanted to wear a pastel lehenga for my beach sundowner wedding and explored a few options before I picked THE outfit. I had my heart on the Falguni Shane Peacock’s from the first try and finalized it along with the veil, which is exactly how I imagined my entry to be,” says Sunadini. She also advises all brides-to-be to stick to their comfort and style. “There are plenty of options when you start exploring, don’t fall for the trends unless you feel confident in it. It’s the most special day of your life and you should own it just the way you want it,” she adds.
