Mont Tremblant Honeymoon

Montreal (1 hour, 27 minutes away by car)

Montreal is the closest city to Mont Tremblant and will take just around 50 USD and 1½ hours to travel. Just a few snippets on Google Images and you’d be convinced of the destination’s enthralling beauty and remarkable architecture. With mountains extending on one side and multiple water bodies flowing through the city, you’d love the breathtaking natural beauty of the place and just a stroll hand-in-hand with your spouse is an amazing romantic activity in the city. But if you’re looking for more, there are amazing historic attractions (The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, Saint Joseph’s Oratory of Mount Royal, Montreal Botanical Garden, etc.), cute cafes (Cafe Olimpico, Cafe Parvis, etc.), Cirque du Soleil (with the world’s best entertainers performing a circus show), and beautiful parks (Parc Angrignon, Parc Jarry, etc.) to explore.

For your stay, we’d recommend the highly-rated Hotel Nelligan, located in a historic building with elegant suites featuring century-old stone walls coupled with modern amenities. Other accommodations to consider are Hotel Birks Montreal and the Ritz-Carlton Montreal

Quebec City (3 hours by car)

The gorgeous and unique Quebec City is worth visiting if you’re anyone around it. So, just hop into a car from Mont Tremblant and travel for around 3 hours to reach this city because we promise nowhere else will you find nature’s beauty, preserved colonial architecture, French elegance, modern luxury, old European charm, cute shops, and world-class cuisine all mixed in one! The city is home to UNESCO World Heritage Site, Old Quebec, the only fortified city in all of North America, known for its cobblestone street and magnificent heritage. But if you’re in the mood to bask in nature’s breathtaking glory, just about half an hour away, you will find peaceful lakes, glacial valleys, and rolling rivers, just ideal for some romantic, quality time with your partner.

Another notable attribute of the city is the lively culinary scene where you can find many passionate chefs serving you the best of different cuisines from around the world. Popular tourist attractions include Montmorency Falls, Plains of Abraham, Dufferin Terrace, and the Museum of Civilization. For your stay, we’d highly recommend the historic Hotel Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac, a heritage property listed as a National Historic Site of Canada and the recipient of the 2022 Global Hotel of The Year award. Other properties to consider include Auberge Saint-Antoine Relais & Chateaux and Le Capitol Hotel

Ottawa (1 hour and 45 minutes away by car)

The capital city of Canada and the fourth-largest city by area, Ottawa, is another region you can explore when you’re in Mont Tremblant for your honeymoon. The city is located just 1 hour and 45 minutes away from the skiing region and it will cost anywhere between $40 to $70 for you to reach there! Ottawa might seem like the metropolitan destination you’d want to avoid on your honeymoon, but its unique attractions, grand Victorian architecture, delightful walking streets, and laid-back vibe will win you over as soon as you step into the city.

There are many things to do here like hiking in the beautiful trails of Carbide Wilson Ruins or Gatineau, spending some time in the gorgeous parks like Confederation Park or Strathcona Park, and visiting the top-rated tourist attractions like Parliament Hill, Canadian Museum of Nature, Notre Dame Cathedral Basilica, etc. For your stay, choose from many of the world-class accommodations in the city like the highly-rated Le Germain Hotel or the Fairmont Chateau Laurier, or the ultra-luxurious Hilton Lac Leamy connected to the Lac Leamy casino and some higher-floor rooms offering enchanting outdoor views and a whirlpool tub perfect for honeymooners.

Trois Rivieres (2 hours 24 minutes by car)

Trois-Rivières is located 2 hours and 24 minutes away from Mont Tremblant by car and it would cost around $70 to reach there. Trois-Rivières is one the oldest cities in North America with origins dating back to the 1600s. The name “Trois-Rivières” essentially means “three rivers” in French and the town is named so because of the three mouths of the Saint-Maurice River flowing into the larger Saint-Lawrence River. The city is located on the lakeside and has a rich trading and cultural history. It’s also an industrial hub and while it’s largely dismissed as one, the city’s unique architecture, pleasant streets, delightful restaurants, and the aura reminiscent of a bygone area makes it a beautiful, lesser-known destination to explore in Quebec.

You can spend a day or two in this gorgeous city. Some of the top sights to explore on your visit are the Parc Laviolette, Borealis, Forges Du Saint-Maurice National Historic Site, and watching a show in the performing arts theatre Salle J.-Antonio-Thompson. For your stay, we’d recommend choosing a higher-floor suite in one of the lakefront accommodations like Auberge Godefroy or Delta Hotels by Marriott

How Much Does A Honeymoon In Mont Tremblant Cost?

Mont Tremblant Honeymoon Cost

A honeymoon in Mont Tremblant isn’t cheap – especially in the winter season which runs from November to April. In winter, the charges are even higher. No wonders because the region is ranked as one of the most expensive ski towns in all of North America. The average cost of accommodation in the region is $427, but the total cost can vary for each couple. Here are some general estimates to give you an idea of the entire cost:

#1 Accommodation

The accommodation cost can vary widely and there are many Mont Tremblant honeymoon suites that can cost more than the average room price in a resort. As an estimate, the couples spend around $200 to $400 per night for a honeymoon stay in an average hotel. Luxury rooms and cabins can cost $500 or more per night.

#2 Activities

Skiing, snow sledding, snowboarding, and other snow activities can cost around $75 to $150 per day for one person. Other activities like hiking, and exploring the village town, don’t cost a thing. Romantic activities like a private dinner or spa can again cost around $150.

#3 Travel

Depending on where you’re traveling, the cost of the travel arrangements can vary. Also, if you’re traveling from a faraway location, you might get a direct flight to the nearby city of Montreal or Quebec and you will have to factor in the cost of transportation to Mont Tremblant.

#4 Food

Food is expensive in Canada and you can spend an average of $44 per day, considering you’re eating relatively healthy. Fast food can reduce this average price, while fine dining can take the cost further up to about $70 per day.

Overall, the cost for a honeymoon in Mont Tremblant can cost anywhere between $2000 to $7000 for a 5 to 7-day vacation. Similarly, you can save on the travel expenses if you choose affordable accommodation, travel during the off-season, or find a good package deal.

Mont Tremblant Honeymoon Packages: What To Look For?

Mont Tremblant Honeymoon Packages

Since Mont Tremblant is a popular travel destination, there are many packages available to woo those interested. Many resorts also offer a package and discounted price on stays when you chose to stay for longer and even give discounts on food or activities. But the resort packages don’t include flights, which is often the case when you book via designated tour companies and travel agencies. Here are some things to look out for when you book a Mont Tremblant honeymoon package:

  • Location: See what locations are included in the package. Is it just Mont Tremblant? Or does the package also offer sightseeing to other nearby villages and cities? Some couples want their package to include other cities as well so they can explore the nearby regions on the trip!
  • Accommodation: Travel agencies have special deals with hotels and tour activities which you may not have access to! And since they can offer bulk customers, these deals are only for them and they are often not available to individual customers. So if you have been eyeing a 4-star or 5-star accommodation and are hesitant because of the price, try to find a package deal that includes that very property. Do check the kind of room they’re offering though!
  • Activities: If you want your honeymoon to have many adventurous activities, look for a package that offers a number of them. But if only a few romantic activities like dinner dates and spas are on your mind, consider Mont Tremblant honeymoon packages aligned along those lines.
  • Inclusions: When considering a honeymoon package, look for one that includes a number of things like airport transfers, food, etc. This saves you time and money and also makes honeymoon planning easier.
  • Customization: Look for packages that allow for customization so that you can tailor your honeymoon to your preferences. This may include adding additional nights, upgrading accommodations, or adding additional activities

Conclusion:

In conclusion, Mont Tremblant can be a memorable honeymoon destination for newlyweds. It might even be the first of the choices when you’re looking for a honeymoon destination in Canada, given the popularity of the town. But don’t worry, the popularity doesn’t mean it will be crowded. With a population of just under 10,000 and an area of 248 kilometer-square, it will offer just the privacy you’d need as a newlywed couple. Accompanied by luxury resorts, a number of activities, relaxing spas, and stunning suites, a Mont Tremblant honeymoon is just what you need to spend those special first few weeks of your marriage!
