For our wedding day, there’s no one we look forward to more for inspiration than our very own Bollywood divas. More so, when they’re promoting their movies and show up to events looking like an absolute diva they are! Recently, Aishwarya Rai and Trisha Krishnan are promoting their upcoming movie PS-1, a period action film directed by Mani Ratnam. The leading ladies have been showing up to promotional events in gorgeous Indian wear, which we are sure brides-to-be would love to draw inspiration from! Find below the details of all their looks from PS-1 promotions styled by Ekla Khani.
Aishwarya Rai
For the first leg of promotions, Aishwarya Rai opted for a red Anarkali suit by Manish Malhotra replete with intricate zardozi work all over. She paired the outfit with a simple polki set, her signature hairstyle parted in the middle, and glowing makeup with well-rounded eyes and dark nude lips. The suit came with a satin dupatta which the actress let loose on the sides. Her other looks also came from designer Manish Malhotra’s collection. One was a royal blue suit hand embroidered with a floral aesthetic. It came with a sheer dupatta, also bedecked in minimal handwork. She resorted to earrings, bangles, and blue bindi to complete the look. As for the third look, she opted for an ivory Anarkali ethnic suit. She paired it with a small bindi and kept the rest of the styling, both jewelry and makeup, minimal.

Trisha Krishnan:
Trisha, on the other hand, stole the attention of 5 different ethnic looks, four of them saree and one of them Anarkali. The first of them was a gorgeous Ritu Kumar creation in pink with intricate zari work and a full-sleeved blouse. The actress paired the saree with Kundan and gem jewelry by Kishandas that also included a mang tikka. Next, she was seen in a floral Anarkali coupled with minimal styling – a perfect breezy look for brides between their main functions. This was followed by a sheer stone grey saree done using time-honored techniques and handcrafted material. It’s one of those looks which you can carry as a newlywed or as a bridesmaid, it’s both modish and traditional and will definitely draw tons of compliments.
To promote her movie in Bangalore., Trisha joined the rest of the cast of PS-1 in a sheer maroon saree with embroidered floral work and thread. She skipped the earrings and instead opted for emerald earrings by Kishandas for her jewelry. Beauty-wise, she opted for a clean base, a bindi, nude lips, and lightly-kohled eyes. Just one day before the release of their film, the entire cast gathered for their last promotional event in Chennai where Trisha stunned in a yellow saree with sequin work paired alongside minimal styling for a surreal look.
