Anant Ambani & Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding revelries at the Reliance Greens Jamnagar have come to an end, but the looks served through the entire gala live on. The three days of celebrations saw the best from the business, fashion, and celebrity world come together and put their finest fashion statement forward. Some looks were loved more than others, and we’re rounding up the 13 best from the entire event in our latest edit.
#1 Isha Ambani’s Red Manish Malhotra Lehenga
The gorgeous sister-of-the-bride took the limelight in all events with her charming fashion choices and graceful personality. For the “Mela Rouge”, Isha Ambani was seen in a red fishtail cut lehenga custom-made by Manish Malhotra, the family’s go-to designer for the pre-wedding festivities. The lehenga set comprised an off-shoulder blouse and fur cape. Isha styled her OOTN with a statement emerald necklace set. Her hair was tied in a ponytail and ditching the trend of nude lips, she wore a cherry red lip shade with a softly contoured makeup look!
#2 Radhika Merchant’s Finale Day Golden Glow Look
Radhika Merchant wore a custom Tarun Tahiliani lehenga on the third day of her pre-wedding revelries. The pre-draped lehenga is an ode to Indian heritage and features hand-painted miniature artistry with kasheedakari craftsmanship done in dual tones of rose gold and silver. The lehenga came with an equally intricate blouse with jaali and resham work alongside a hand-painted dupatta and a floor-sweeping tissue veil. She paired the lehenga with diamond necklace set, maangtikka, and hathphool. A half-half hairdo and an elegant makeup look complemented the styling statement well.
#3 Nita Ambani’s White Silk Kanjivaram Saree on Day 3
Nita Ambani is a vision in her Indian ethnic wear. Her wardrobe is replete with silk sarees, especially Kanjuvaram, Benarasi, and Patola silks. For the Hastakshar ceremony of her youngest child, she wore a handloom Kanchipuram silk saree designed, curated, and brought to life by designer Manish Malhotra, who has also worked extensively with Nita Ambani on the decorations of the Reliance Greens for the event. Along with the saree, she styled her look with her favorite stones: Diamonds, this time pairing them up with emeralds. A long haar, a stack of bangles, and a flashy emerald-cut diamond ring!
#4 Deepika Padukone’s Day 2 Golden Lehenga by Sabyasachi
The parents-to-be Deepika Padukone & Ranveer Singh were one of the first few Bollywood guests to arrive at Jamnagar. They made the appearance soon after announcing they are pregnant and will welcome their first baby in September. Padukone was certainly a vision at the revelries and on the sangeet night, she wore a shimmery gold Sabyasachi lehenga – her go-to designer for Indian wear. She completed the look with a braided pony hairstyle, smokey eyes, and softly contoured base makeup.
#5 Alia Bhatt Day 3’s Chikankari Lehenga
Leading actress Alia Bhatt attended the festivities with her husband Ranbir Kapoor, her year-old daughter Raha, and her mother-in-law Neetu Singh, alongside the rest of the Kapoor clan. She chose her outfits mindfully on both days and shades of gold & ivory dominated for both the night event looks. For the Hastakshar ceremony, Bhatt donned a golden & ivory lehenga with mirror work and resham threadwork all over. She coordinated the look with a low bun, pearl choker necklace set, and a small bindi. She hired pro-makeup artist Sandhya Shekhar for her beauty looks. Known for her ability to enhance the features of her clients without taking away from their natural beauty, she gave Alia a hydrated, glow-from-within look with pigmented eyes and nude lips.
#6 Radhika Merchant’s Pastel & Ivory Lehenga Set
On Day 1 of Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding festivities, portraits of the bride along with the other members of the Ambani clan were released. In the portraits, the to-be Ambani bahu looked utterly gorgeous in an Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla creation comprising of the three-colored skirt in chikankari embroidery and a Western blouse with pearls, stones, sequins, and resham. Her accessories included a diamond necklace set in rose-gold hues and bracelets on both sides. Beauty-wise, she kept things dewy with nude tones and tied her hair in a puffy ponytail for a feminine and easy-breezy look.
#7 Sonam Kapoor’s Heritage Ladakh Attire On Day 3
When it comes to fashion statements, Sonam Kapoor can’t be far behind other celebrities. She stayed true to the themes outlined by the hosts and for the last day, she opted for traditional Ladakh attire since the event was dedicated to heritage. Taking to Instagram, she explained the attire, “The Mogos, the primary garment, paired with the Bok cape for warmth, showcases the rich cultural tapestry influenced by the Silk Route. Crafted from silk by artisans of Benaras, this ensemble features intricate phoenix embroidery symbolizing energy and wisdom, with a crane motif representing peace and prosperity.” Her jewelry was heritage pieces as well and came from a combined wardrobe of her mother, mother-in-law, and aunt.
#8 Kareena Kapoor’s Sequinned Saree
Kareena Kapoor kept her “Good Looks, Good Looks, and Good Looks” dialogue and custom alive in all her fashion choices for the pre-wedding events. She opted for a draped saree with a bandeau blouse on day 1, a sequinned Manish Malhotra saree on day 2 (our favorite!), and a golden cape lehenga set on day 3. We loved all her looks, but the sequin saree in black by MM stands out and is a must-have in your trousseau. She styled it with a halter-neck blouse and diamond drop earrings. A neat stack of bangles on one side further added to the allure of her graceful and glamorous look.
#9 Katrina Kaif’s Day 1 Printed Dress
Amidst the hustle & bustle of the heavy, elaborate dresses, Katrina chose simple, easy-to-carry outfits on each day, but the one she wore on Day 2 of the pre-wedding celebrations was our favorite. Kaif joined the event on the second day when there was a jungle safari to Anant Ambani’s animal rescue center – Vantara. She was accompanied by Vicky Kaushal and landed straight to serve fashion goals. Donning a floor-length dress in brown tones and flower motifs, she effortlessly looked at her gorgeous self. A belt on the waist and a multi-chain necklace completed her graceful look, and we think it’s the perfect dress for brides for the in-between moments of the wedding functions!
#10 Ranveer Singh’s Day 2 Sherwani
Ranveer Singh’s bold and loud attire is a treat to the eyes and a nod to his strong personality, but seldom an inspiration for the normal folks. However, this time he kept it simple, stylish, and elegant. On the Day 2 sangeet event, he wore a black sherwani in luxurious satin material and a big bird motif on the entire front for a distinctive yet dapper look. This attire is perfect as an engagement dress for men, but also for other nights like sangeet or even reception. Pair it with a brooch, earrings, and a metal watch to elevate the look and make it as striking as it can be!
#11 Shloka Mehta’s Golden Lehenga
Shloka Mehta’s color theme for the night events was clear – golden with touches of glitter! She wore golden on all the night events and shone bright in all of them. The mother-of-two wore a Manish Malhotra lehenga for the sangeet of the pre-wedding bash and the custom outfit featured an elaborate skirt and an off-shoulder blouse with full sleeves. She ditched the dupatta and instead accessorized it with an ornate diamond set, maangtikka, and stack of bracelets. Tying her hair in a ponytail and keeping things glam makeup-wise, her no-fuss yet resplendent look is ideal for brides for their sangeet. It lets you dance away without worrying about any of the fashion elements!
#12 Anant Ambani’s Red Sherwani
The groom Anant Ambani also gave plenty of inspiration for the groom and groomsmen in his custom-made attire by varied designers. One of them was above par with others, mainly because of one reason. It’s a red sherwani look and can be perfectly coordinated with the bride in a red lehenga – the classic, most-favored hue for Indian brides on their main day. Anant’s sherwani was custom-made by Manish Malhotra and included red patchwork on a black base. Groom-to-be Anant paired the look with a brooch and a watch to accessorize and elevate his attire. The statement buttons added to the charm of the dress further!
#13 Ivanka Trump’s Lime Green Kashmiri Lehenga Set
The pre-wedding attendees also included Ivanka Trump, daughter of former US President Donald Trump, her husband, Jared Kushner, and their 12-year-old daughter Arabella Rose. All three donned luxurious Indian outfits throughout the celebrations, mainly from designers Manish Malhotra and Anita Dongre. On the final day of the pre-wedding, Ivanka was seen in a neon green Kashmiri lehenga set by Manish Malhotra complete with an emerald choker set and a potli bag. We love this look because it’s an ideal attire to wear to many of your events. Mehendi, sangeet, haldi, or even a cocktail party – this lehenga set is a befitting choice for all!
