Rakul Preet & Jackky Bhagnani have tied the knot in Goa. Their wedding venue location: ITC Grand Goa, a luxurious resort in tranquil South Goa sprawling over 45 acres of landscaped gardens and overlooking the pristine Arossim beach. The wedding had an elaborate guest list with Ananya Panday, Shahid Kapoor, Ayushman Khurana, and Bhumi Pednekar, all appearing in the viral insider pictures. The couple has posted pictures from all the events of their wedding – day-by-day – with some posted by photographer, designer, MUA, and stylist exclusively. If you’re looking for a curated scroll-down album of Rakul Preet’s wedding, you’re in luck. Our latest edit includes all the pictures from the actress’ wedding:
Wedding:
For their sunset wedding in Goa, Rakul Preet & Jackky Bhagnani wore custom curations by designer Tarun Tahiliani. The bride wore a hand-embroidered muted pink lehenga with 3-D floral motifs. It was paired with an equally elaborate blouse with sheer tulle sleeves and a long veil. Beauty-wise, she kept things simple, with a rosy glow, a dewy base, and subtle eyeshadows and lip colors. The minimal, understated look is a characteristic of all her wedding revelries. On the groom’s end, producer and actor Bhagnani was seen in a chikankari kurta with “chinar” motifs. Designer Tarun Tahiliani revealed on an Instagram post the outfits took 6 months to attain competition. Below, find pictures from their beach sunset ceremony!
Anand Karaj:
Before their pheras in the evening, the bride & groom had a scenic Anand Karaj ceremony within the hotel’s premises itself. The look first came into feature after the couple released their wedding video, shot and edited by famed videographer The Wedding Filmer. Just shortly afterward, their Sikh wedding pictures were exclusively released by Brides Today, and then by the stylist Ami Patel. The designer Tarun Tahiliani also gave us a glimpse of the trials and how the look came together.
As you can see from Rakul Preet’s wedding pictures, the bride wore a pristine ivory lehenga. The attire is a resplendent chikankari lehenga with intricate mirror work in gold and soft ivory tones. Paired with a puffed-sleeve blouse and two veils, the bride looked ravishing as she walked towards the happily-ever-after! The jewelry consisted of layered kundan-polki necklaces, a maangitkka, and a pink chura. The groom also wore an ivory sherwani adorned with golden work in authentic “aari” and “zardozi” techniques.
Sangeet:
Once the wedding looks were all revealed on Instagram, Rakul & Jackky posted their sangeet look. Trusted designer Falguni Shane Peacock for their glamorous outfits for Sangeet night, the bride was seen in a silver sequinned lehenga for the night with gold embroidery. The lehenga came with a trail and a long veil that started from the shoulders of the blouse. While the common advice is to stay away from heavy attires on the sangeet, Rakul sets the stage for brides and tells them to do whatever they want as long as they’re comfortable with it!
Aligning with her minimal makeup mood board, the 33-year-old actress opted for bronzed glam for sangeet with soft smokey eyes, sheer highlights, and glossy lips. She left her hair in soft waves, but there’s one element that caught our attention – the scattered beads in the hair which added drama and uniqueness to her look. Groom Jackky, on the other hand, wore a dark blue tux for the night. A traditional rendition of the tux – some might say, as the coat was adorned with golden work, an amazing inspiration for the engagement dresses for men.
Mehndi:
What we love most about Rakul Preet’s wedding fashion is how the actress chose different designers for each event, so she could wear the signature work of all of them and also have a versatile wardrobe for her wedding revelries. For her mehndi, Singh turned to Arpita Mehta – who was also an attendee at her wedding – who designed an indo-western outfit for the day event. Paying homage to the actress’ Punjabi roots, Arpita crafted a burnt orange and red coordinated set with phulkari embroidery. The three-piece outfit comprised a bandeau blouse, a palazzo, and a floors-sweeping ethnic jacket.
A minimalist bride, she went with a no-makeup, makeup look with a nude lip and a fishtail braid. For jewelry, she opted for a floral maangtikka and oversized earrings. To complement, groom Bhagnani wore a crimson-pink kurta-pajama set with an embroidered jacket which matched with the accent colors in the bride’s dress.
Haldi:
The last of her wedding looks revealed was a bohemian haldi ceremony. While a flower haldi has become the norm to avoid the messiness of the traditional haldi, the bride and groom went the traditional way and accepted being laden with haldi on their morning event. Taking to Instagram, the bride revealed she wanted a colorful vibe for the mehndi and their chosen designer Papa Don’t Preach by Shubhika captured the theme beautifully. Designing a multi-color lehenga with dominating shades of blue, the lehenga set was embellished with glass beads and sequins for an impressive appearance. The complementary style elements consisted of beaded jewelry, shoes, and a fresh makeup look with kohled eyes. The hair was tied in a half-up, half-down hairstyle with braids on both sides.
