You know how you sometimes look at the picture of a bride and a clear one adjective to describe her aura pops into your mind. When we saw Sagarika’s pictures, that one word was ‘CUTE’. And we’re sure you’d resonate with us.
Cute, ain’t she? Sagarika is our recent viral bride, whose reception pictures in a sultry wine lehenga were adored by all. So we decided to speak to her for a potential blog feature and she loved the idea. And here we are. The #tjtooksangria wedding album will be an inspiration for all couples out there!
How They Met:
Tejas and Sagarika met through their parents. Their first meeting was a coffee date in a cosy resort in Lucknow. The meeting was supposed to be a formal one but the two were so into each other's company that they ended up talking for hours. The hotel staff had to ask them to leave. “It was magical, crazy, felt like wow where was he all these years. Never believed in this soulmate connection until I met my husband Tejas,” says Sagarika. And that’s how the #tjtooksangria love story got going.
2019 was all about hordes of coffee dates, shopping sprees, bachelorette fun and wedding planning for the couple. They enjoyed each and every moment of their courtship period. The bride planned out everything and added a personal touch to every aspect of her wedding. She designed her own lehenga, Tejas’ trousseau and her mother and MIL’s looks.
“Getting married to someone who understands you so well is the greatest blessing. It is about sharing your space with someone, emotions with someone and I feel really really grateful for having the right person around me for life. The crazy goofy #TJtookSangria till eternity.” - the bride’s few words on her partner for life.
For her big day, Sagarika wore her self-designed lehenga. Putting on her creative pants, she curated a gorgeous pink lehenga with intricate embroidery work all over. Another unique element of the whole bridal look is the gold jewellery and not the usual kundan-polki one. The groom, on the other hand, wore an ivory kurta-pyjama and matched his bride in a peach pink safa and stole. Their mandap was set in the middle of a swimming pool and it’s one of the most gorgeous mandap decor we’ve ever seen!
For the reception, Sagarika was dressed in a monochrome wine lehenga and looked absolutely adorable. As for our groom Tejas, he wore a gray sherwani for the event with patches of floral embroidery on it. The couple danced, drank and celebrated their day to the max!
Post Wedding Shoot In Maldives:
We are a big fan of couples documenting their honeymoon as well as their pre-wedding revelries and the big day. Sagarika and Tejas had a beautiful shoot at the luxurious Jumeirah Vittaveli resort in the Maldives. Take a look at these delightful pictures - fun, fun, fun!
