The bride’s wedding we are about to feature today isn’t a normal one. She’s a Covid-19 frontline worker. The sacrifices and efforts these warriors are making to fight this pandemic are unmatchable. And guess what, even the groom is a Covid-19 frontline doctor. A match made in heaven? We think so! The couple was supposed to be married in July, but since Corona was peaking at the time, they decided to fight the pandemic & support humanity first and get married afterward. 💝
“Our wedding was supposed to be in July but we were both frontline doctors working during the pandemic so it absolutely had to be delayed. This was hard at times but we were both so busy with the pandemic we genuinely didn’t have much time to be super sad about it!,” says our gorgeous bride, Dr.Iman Moghul. (Instagram: @doctorimann)
Iman is also a popular Pakistani wedding blogger & influencer at The Pakistani Bride. With over 250k followers on social media, she has one of the most reputed wedding blogs for Muslim brides. Running a bridal blog means she has been planning her wedding her whole life & getting to terms with an intimate wedding wasn’t easy. “We never imagined we’d have a lockdown wedding, it was such a shock to the system,” shared Imam.
However, knowing pretty well what Covid-19 can do to high-risk individuals, she held her events with very few people in gathering.
How They Met:
“We were two junior doctors working in a busy hospital in London and managed to bump into each other during a night shift. Adnan was a surgical doctor at the time and I worked in the accident and emergency department so I didn’t really get to speak to him much and I had no idea we’d end up here today. Full disclaimer, I thought he was super cute the very first time I saw him!” Iman shared.
Dholki Ceremony:
Iman’s wedding revelries started with a colorful Dholki ceremony. Being a wedding blogger, we can expect her to give us some major outfit inspiration and so she did! For the event, she was seen in a stunning yellow Anarkali suit with a sky blue dupatta. It was such a fresh and unique color combination. She paired her outfit with real floral jewelry that was oh-so-pretty.
Wedding:
Speaking to us about her wedding lehenga Imam shared she always wanted to wear white on her wedding day, not red. But apparently, there was a huge blunder in her outfit just a week before her wedding (Bridezilla Moment!). “I had to find another dress within a week of the Nikkah and I was not a happy bunny at all. I went to @bibildn to look for a Sabyasachi lehenga and when I tried this on, I instantly fell in love with it and that was the end of it.” she says.
All’s well that ends well. Iman looked breathtaking in her red Sabyasachi outfit and we can’t help but gawk at her. Scroll down to see her mesmerising wedding pictures:
