First, it was Rana Daggubatti & Miheeka, then Neha Kakkar & Rohanpreet Singh, even Hardik Pandya had a small wedding ceremony at home and now, we witnessed the beautiful celebrations of Kajal Aggarwal’s marriage to her longtime boyfriend Gautam Kitchlu.
The duo tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony at Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai. Scroll down to see the pictures.
Kajal Aggarwal + Gutam Kitchlu Wedding Pictures
‘I got engaged on my birthday’, says Kajal Aggarwal. The actress has been dating businessman Gautam Kitchlu for 3 years. When lockdown hit, the two weren’t able to meet as frequently, prompting them to realise how hard it is to stay away from each other. This is when they knew they wanted to be with each other, forever. Gautam popped the question in the most heartfelt way, laying out all his emotions in words rather than showing them in a flashy manner. And it was an instant ‘Yes’ from Kajal.
The couple’s parents met in April 2020 and their roka ceremony was arranged for June. Singham actress turned to none other than Manish Malhotra to help her design a customised outfit for the ceremony. The maestro made a marvellous Tuscan yellow organza saree for the bride-to-be. Keeping the bright summer colors in mind, Malhotra picked a splendid shade for the outfit. However, the head turner of the look is the blouse featuring fringe-back detailing, adding an oomph factor to the otherwise basic saree.
Keeping up with the subtleness of the ensemble, she went light with accessories and wore just a pair of chandelier earrings and kundan kadas for the ceremony. Keep scrolling to see her splendid look!

The couple officially kicked off the #kaujgothitched nuptials with a serene wedding ceremony at the bride’s home. Given the Covid-19 pandemic, only 50 people were in attendance. For the mehendi, Kajal wore a pale green sleeveless kurta and sharara set. Isn’t this Anita Dongre attire a perfect pick for your intimate wedding? Further amping her look are a pair of chandbali earrings and hair tied in two floral braids. She kept the makeup simple and fresh with a nude face and kohled eyes.
Next up was the fun Haldi ceremony. The star opted for another sultry number by Anita Dongre for the ceremony. She wore 3 AD outfits for the wedding, and considering the designer is known to create easy to carry yet gorgeous couture, we think she’s an ideal pick for any bride. Her pick featured a sleeveless kurta set with adorbs bird motifs on it. What’s interesting is how Aggarwal switched the jewellery options. For dancing and grooving she wore just a pair of tassel earrings but for the main event, she went completely traditional with her floral jewellery. Her set consisted of mathapatti, varmala, mogra band for ponytail and floral earrings.
The wedding day was finally here! Aggarwal looked stunning in a custom made red Anamika Khanna lehenga for the wedding. The lehenga featured intricate detailing that took 20 people a month to create. Adding finishing touches to the stunning attire is the splendid jewellery by Jaipur-based Sunita Shekhawat. Another fascinating bit of the ensemble is the silver kamarband. A nice and doable idea to steal from her wedding look indeed!
Decor was another spectacular part of the couple’s wedding. The aisle was inspired by the Dal lake in Srinagar with a mirror base and lush flowers lined on the side. The geometric mandap design is literally a vision to stare at! The on-point details of Kajal + Gautam’s big day are like a dream come true for any bride.
Unlike the traditional attire she wore for all other wedding events, the reception look of the star was a glamorous one. Custom-made by Falguni Shane Peacock, the lehenga set featured a full sleeves blouse with attached dupatta and a fish tail cut lehenga that perfectly skimmed her curves. She kept her makeup minimal and let that newlywed glow take the center stage while putting her hair into the sleek style. As it was her post-wedding bash, she included elements like sindoor, mangalsutra and chooda into the look as well.
Kajal wanted a big fat Indian wedding with feet thumping on the dance floor all the time. But Covid-19 put all her plans down the drain. Nevertheless, she had multiple small ceremonies at her home, made sure she dressed her best and most importantly, gave us a sneak peek at them all. This blog would have been doubly long if we did separate sections for each of them, so here’s a quick roundup.
The biggest festival in India for wedded women is Karva Chauth, it’s doubly special for couples celebrating for the first time. We have been eyeing Karvachauth looks of our favorite celebrities and real brides alike, and Kajal Aggarwals’s simplistic and elegant ensemble dazzled us the most! She picked another custom Manish Malhotra creation for her KC celebrations. The scarlet red saree was bedecked with thread-work and bead embroidery on the border. Accompanied with a same color halter neck blouse with matching work, you’ll definitely have a soft spot for this saree if effortless and graceful resonates with your fashion sense.
Keeping up with the basic look, she paired it with polki earrings by Raniwala and kept her locks in soft waves. The eye-catching saree is apt for Karvachauth but can also be worn at any cocktail event you have to attend, or perhaps a fancy date night with your other half. We’re guessing the price would be somewhere between 1-2 lakhs, but with the poise and purpose it offers, we say it’s worth investing in.
