Royal Jammu Wedding Of A Couple Very Much In Love!

Arunima and Abhay wed in a royal wedding ceremony in the princely state of Jammu. Their couple portrait with playful signage spread like wildfire on the wedding community on social media. Besides the theme of the portrait though, their chemistry, outfits, and beautiful wedding setup all caught the eyes of everyone on Instagram, including ours. So, naturally, we wanted to feature their whimsical wedding on our blog and permanently etch it in our online presence. Below, find all the details of the duo’s wedding planning, love story, followed by a complete album of their wedding pictures.

Love Story & Wedding Planning

“We have been dating for more than 4 and a half years and well, I knew he was the one the first time we met. When I saw him, I knew there was an electrifying connection and we hit off talking that first time. The best part was he felt the same way,” says Arunima. We all know the greatest blessing is really two-fold: finding someone who your heart adores and knowing the other person feels the same way about you too. Arunima and Abhay’s love story started that day and 4 and a half years later, they were all set to tie the knot – side-by-side dealing with the hustle of the pandemic.

“Wedding planning was fun & a roller-coaster task honestly. Due to Covid, our engagement plans got postponed by a whole year. It was distressing because I had mood boards planned for the engagement event and eventually, it didn’t happen and we decided to jump straight away to the wedding in November 2021. The whole planning and prep started 3 months prior and it was a tiring yet fun process,” adds Arunima.

Below, find her wedding album, sorted event-wise.

Mehendi

The cheery revelries of Arunima & Abhay’s wedding began with a day-to-night mehendi ceremony. For the ceremony, Arunima donned a red lehenga by Aisha Arora, bedecked with applique work in blue, golden, and darker shades of red. To complement, she wore gota patti jewelry and we love her choice of jhoomar earrings going all the way to the back adding a glamor quotient to the entire ensemble. Beauty-wise, she picked kohl-rimmed eyes and a clean face. Abhay opted for a tomato red mirror-work kurta pajama for the event to accompany his bride.

Haldi

Next up was the wedding day and we all know the morning of the D-Day calls for some low-key, lively fun that is the Haldi ceremony. For the event, both coordinated in the shade of (no surprises here) yellow and the friends & family sure didn’t leave any stones unturned to lather the bride & groom with pithi.

Wedding

Talking about her experience of buying the wedding lehenga, Arunima said, “I always knew I wanted to wear a traditional red lehenga on my D-Day, and from the past few years I’ve been obsessed with RAH lehengas. So when I was shopping for my bridal wear, I went straight to Rimple & Harpreet store and I zeroed down based on my budget and preferences. Luckily, I found what I was looking for! As someone fascinated with culture and heritage, my lehenga was oozing out royalty.” Arunima’s regal wedding look is sure for the books. Paired with gold jewelry, an ethereal updo, and natural, dewy makeup, she looked breathtaking in her bridal avatar. To complement his bride, Abhay wore a pink sherwani with maroon dupatta and safa.

Reception

For the reception, the bride chose a beautiful pink lehenga by Frontier Raas while the groom looked dapper in a 3-piece suit set with a bow tie.

Ending our conversation, Arunima left us with these tips to give any future brides-to-be, “Just enjoy it; the whole process – from preparation to the final day. It’s going to be happy chaos and in the end, feel comfortable in your skin. It doesn’t matter if your belly isn’t flat or you have acne marks, embrace everything, only then will you radiate true beauty.”
