When we came across Akansha’s bridal look – we were stunned! Dressed in classic Sabyasachi sequin work lehenga, our peachy pink bride looked absolutely mesmerizing. Here are some pictures of the wedding and her beautiful story, in the bride’s own words.
Meet the happy couple – Akansha and Prabhav
Akansha best describes their story as serendipity: a sequence of happy coincidences. When the two of us weren’t looking for anything and found each other when all hope was lost. It was almost like fate has its way when on the second day I was supposed to head back to Jaipur and neither of us wanted that to happen including my mom, his mom, and dad. My dad was however very strong-willed that I come back and see where it goes. Me, My mom and my brother reached the Bombay domestic airport almost 5 hours before the flight with the boarding cards in our hands and waited at the Taj. When we reached the airport well in time, to our surprise we find out that they overbooked our flight and even after much debate and request they didn’t let us, board. At the same time, my dad was on a flight and we couldn’t reach him to help us out. Stranded at the airport with no reservations I called Prabhav and overjoyed and excited as he was, along with us parents ran to the airport to fetch us. Which then led to a hilarious feast at Peshawri. To date, my dad believes we missed the flight on purpose just to get more time.
Kicking off their functions with Mehendi and after-party:
For her Mehendi function, Akansha chose a striking yellow color outfit by Anita Dongre and paired it up with contrasting red dupatta. Her makeup game was on-point with a beautiful messy braid adorned with fresh baby’s breath flowers on the side! For the after-party, she chose a zari work Shyamal and Bhumika lehenga and styled it with traditional paasa on the side.
Glamorous Sangeet:
Sangeet night of the couple was held in the Fairmont Hotel and as you can see they had a great time dancing and enjoying on the stage. The bride looked dazzling in a Falguni Shane Peacock lehenga with a diamond tiara that gave her whole look a whimsical princessy vibe. The decor for the complete wedding was done by Stagecraft and the makeup was done by talented Bianca Louzado.
Haldi Fun!
Magical Wedding!
And here comes our favorite look of Akansha! The wedding was held at the royal JW Marriott Hotel in Jaipur. Dressed in sequin embellished Sabyasachi lehenga, Akansha looked fantabulous as a bride. She made a wonderful entrance with her father and sister dancing blissfully as she inched closer to her happily ever after!
A big cheers to the happy couple!
