We always strive to bring you the best of wedding inspiration from across the Internet. And one of our favorite places to draw wedding inspiration from is Real Weddings! These blogs portray how real brides got their dream wedding into action, how their love story unfolded to the big day and the crazy emotions that they experience through the wedding festivities.
Today, we have got a story of one such stunner bride – Karen. She was an absolute vision in her wedding looks. From donning Deepika’s wedding lehenga in her own classy style to looking like an absolute angel in an all-white lehenga choli for her reception – she had almost everyone swoon over her in no time!
But it’s not all beauty that charmed us, she is also a woman of action. While planning her wedding, she felt quite frustrated by the shopping experience required to find the Indian outfits for herself, her friends, and her family. She either had to buy a flight to India to find modern styles or pay for overpriced styles at local stores in the US. She was also disappointed by the waste behind wearing dresses once and then letting them sit in the closet.
Even though she wasn’t able to fix the problem in time for her wedding, she took immediate action to help other brides. Karen is the co-founder and CMO of Lukh Studio, which is an online rental service for Indian fashion. She hopes that LUKH transforms the Indian retail experience for the modern Indian-American.
Considering how strong her fashion game already is, we are sure her business will offer the best styles to Indian brides doing wedding shopping in America!
So without any more wait, let’s take you through the beautiful Bali destination wedding of our ‘beauty with brains’ bride, Karen.
Pre-Wedding Shoot:
Before commencing their wedding revelries, Karen and Aakash had a serene and romantic pre-wedding shoot. The bride-to-be was seen in a gorgeous printed Anita Dongre lehenga for the shoot while the groom wore a white kurta-pajama with a mint-green Nehru jacket.
Mehendi/ Sangeet:
The couple’s mehendi was set outdoors and decorated with the usual elements like multicolor seating arrangements, rickshaw bar, and photobooths. Karen wore an electric blue Papa Don’t Preach by Shubhika outfit for her mehendi/ sangeet celebrations. She kept her look minimal and graceful with a low bun, natural makeup, and a red lip! The groom complemented her perfectly in a white and blue Nehru jacket.
Wedding:
Aakash and Karen tied the knot in the most serene and winsome decoration ever! The decor was set in hues of white, pink, and green with touches of red to match the bride’s red Sabyasachi lehenga. Look at that aesthetical mandap though!
Karen is undoubtedly one of the most gorgeous brides we have ever come across. She wore Deepika’s wedding lehenga but with her own styling knack. She let her overhead dupatta with ‘Sada Saubhagyavati Bhavah’ flow effortlessly and skipped the second dupatta completely. She paired her look with a maangtikka, choker, raani haar, earrings and stack of gold bangles. She kept her makeup utterly simple and dewy with soft eye makeup and a nude lip!
Groom Aakash also looked utterly handsome in an off-white sherwani and light pink saafa!

Wedding Dinner:
The wedding day culminated with a joyous wedding dinner with firecrackers and a cozy dinner setup. Karen looked her best self in a crop-top & lehenga set by Payal Singhal.
Pool Party:
The last day of the couple’s destination wedding started with a pool party. The couple and the family members were seen rejoicing the special moments of these two love birds.
Reception:
And the ultimate climax of the wedding was a travel-themed reception party. The couple loves to travel together and the cute elements in the reception was an ode to their favorite thing to do as a pair.
