Meetha and Prashant met at university and just hit it off immediately. “The funny thing is we both loved each other’s smile. We dated for 6 years before getting married, I must say with all the ups and downs we’ve gone through I knew he’d be the only one who could take care of me and lift me when I needed it the most,” says the bride. The couple planned their sumptuous wedding at Habtoor Palace, Dubai. It’s one of the most luxurious hotels in Downtown Dubai and directly overlooks the Dubai Canal. The property’s opulent ballrooms, artisanal food, spacious stay, and accommodative staff lined well with the couple’s vision of hosting a big, fat Indian wedding.
“Wedding planning was the most beautiful chaos. Our wedding planners were Vivaah celebrations and I loved how they made all my mood boards and visions to reality. We put a lot of thought into our entry sequences. But my favorite is our Cinderella-themed sequence which was our reception entry concept,” narrated the bride of her experiences during wedding planning. Coming to her gorgeous bridal trousseau, she handpicked all her dresses from the top designers of the country. Whether it was the blue-pink lehenga dress for the mehndi or the majestic ballroom gown from Manish Malhotra, the attires were all eye-catching and Meetha carried them all with grace and composure. For the wedding, she picked a signature Sabyasachi lehenga. “I wanted to be a Sabyasachi bride forever, It was my dream lehenga for 2 years. My lehenga was also the last ever piece to be made of that kind,” she says.
