Below, find all the pictures and videos from the nuptials, but before let’s take a brief look at the couple’s love story:
Alanna & Ivor met in November 2019 At A Halloween Party
Alanna Panday & Ivor McCray are truly couple goals. One look at their Instagram and the love that they feel for each other becomes quite apparent. In fact, their love story started on a strong note itself and the two felt an instant, strong connection when they met at a Halloween party in 2019. Four months after they moved in together and two years later, Ivor proposed to Alanna in the Maldives. This was followed by a small engagement party in Mumbai with Alanna’s closest family and friends.
The Bride Wore All Custom-Made Outfits
The first outfit of the bride for the mehendi was designed by couturier Rahul Mishra, known for incorporating nature’s elements into his dresses, and Alanna’s lehenga represented the same. Details like kissing cranes on the blouse and vibrant botanicals on the lehenga came together gorgeously for the bride’s mehendi look. Ivor’s look included the same colors and motifs as the bride’s, and in fact, the entire family matched the bride & groom in outfits custom-designed by Mishra for the clan!
The next day was the haldi celebration for which the bride wore a custom-made Papa Don’t Preach by Shubhika lehenga in a mermaid cut, which the designer said was easy to decide because Alanna always reminds her of an Indian mermaid. On the outfit, you can see details from the couple’s travel shenanigans and favorite elements from nature. The groom wore a sky blue embellished shirt with ivory trousers and a cropped velvet jacket for the event. For the actual haldi celebrations, the couple quickly changed into custom-made Payal Singhal outfits so as to enjoy the event in comfortable dresses.
For her wedding day, the bride wore none other than Manish Malhotra! The bride’s mother, Deanne Panday, is good friends with the designer and has always wanted her daughter to be a MM bride. Alongside the bride’s stylist, Ami Patel, Panday sat down with Malhotra months before the wedding day to create the lehenga. Inspired by the Mijwan bridal lehenga, the couturier elevated the design with intricate motifs and delicate threadwork all over.
Describing her look, Ami wrote on Instagram, “For Alanna’s wedding look to come together, I kept her personality in mind- she is very dreamy and my goal was to make her look like a princess straight out of a fairy tale. She has this simple yet classy sense of style and doing a tonal white look from head to toe was the best bet. We had some fun with the jewelry and layered the neck with two statement chokers from Manish’s collection and paired them with some beautiful earrings along with a dainty maangtika. Her Kaliras by Mrinalini was also themed around an enchanted forest- stardust and everything mystical. Doing her hair open was the best decision as it just added to the whole effortless look. Her makeup was dewy and fresh which compliments her very youthful personality. Alanna truly is an inspiration for new-age young brides with her whole look. She was really a dream to ideate with and I couldn’t imagine anyone else who could’ve done justice to this look.”
