The most important quality in your partner, according to us, should be open communication and strong friendship. You should be able to count him as your best friend or at least one of your best friends. Some become lovers first, then friends, while others form a slow and steady friendship overtime, which eventually turns into lifelong companionship. Such is the story of Roshni and Sheshank.
They shared the same school and had many classes in common. They were aware of each other but became friends only at the very end of school life. The friendship grew, so did their love for each other.
“I am so happy to have found my life partner in my best friend,” says Roshni.
Engagement:
The celebration for high-school sweethearts started with a modern and stylish engagement ceremony. Bride and groom wanted to wear something classy and chic to go with the theme, making sure they complement each other at the first time. Wearing a bronze gold shimmer lehenga, styled with an elegant bun, glitter eyes and nude makeup, Roshni entered the hall on ‘A Thousand Years’ song, holding her parents’ hands. How sweet! The couple also lit the stage on their favorite track by Ed Sheeran – Perfect; considering they also fell in love ‘not knowing what it was..’.
Cocktail:
The wedding festivities begin with a relaxed evening of dancing, drinking and chilling. Our stylish bride Roshni wore a red stitched saree for the occasion, inspired by Sushmita Sen’s outfit in Main Hoon Na! The groom matched his bride in a red tuxedo.
Mehendi:
The couple held an intimate mehendi function for just family and friends. Their wedding was held before Covid-19, so they chose to have a micro-mehendi ceremony and were not bound by the law. For the mehendi application, she wore a yellow saree. Keeping her look simple was a smart choice, considering bridal mehendi application can take 6-8 hours. We loved Roshni’s outfit for the night event. She clad herself in a net sequined saree and paired it up with diamond jewellery, highlighted makeup and a nude blush lip. On the other hand, her groom dressed himself in a sky blue tux.
Haldi:
For the haldi ceremony, the bride kept her attire ultra-simple and clothed herself in a Tanchoi silk lehenga with shades of blue, ivory and pink. As wedding favors, guests were handed over a pink dupatta and maang tikka so they can all coordinate for the event.
Wedding:
Roshni was all stuck on the idea of a pastel themed wedding. Her wedding lehenga was ivory shade replete with pastel embroidery, her jewellery, kaleeras, flowers at the wedding venue and groom’s sherwani all reflected the same pastel hue.
“Sheshank and I always wanted a wedding that is full of love, laughter and PASTEL COLOURS. Since the day I started planning my wedding, I knew I had to wear something pink, and move away from a traditional red lehenga. At the same time, I tried to experiment with various versions of traditional Indian sarees, on almost all my functions, to set a trend and inspire others to follow,” says Roshni.
Post-Wedding Shoot:
Many couples are opting for a honeymoon shoot, instead of a pre-wedding shoot these days. So did Roshni and Sheshank, They had a photoshoot done in Cape Town, South Africa and here are a few pictures from the same:
