When Simar sent across a few of her wedding pictures on Instagram, we were immediately blown away. She looked so breathtakingly beautiful in all her wedding pictures that we couldn't help but want to see more of them! And when we did, we knew she would be loved by you all as much by us! We posted her reception pictures on Instagram and she went viral in no time. And then her wedding pictures impressed you too. So we knew her wedding blog was something you would all be crazed about.
We present to you our recent favorite bride, Simar. Keeping her style game strong, Simar looked her absolute best at all her wedding functions. There is no doubt that she is naturally beautiful. All she did was amplify her blessed gorgeousness with statement outfits and minimal, dewy makeup.
Let's start with how her fairytale love story unfolded:
It was a typical arranged marriage process. Simar came across Rajveer's profile on Shaadi.com and her marriage broker also suggested him as her perfect match. The bride's family took the next step & went to meet Rajveer & his family. Simar was a little reluctant at first because she wanted to get married in her hometown, Ludhiana and Rajveer is from Jalandhar. Little did she know, her family was coming back with nothing but praises for her future husband.
This prompted her to meet him. Simar is an advocate, so they first met at her legal faculty office.
"It was a nice fun meeting where we both told each other that we were self-obsessed. Then, I got Rajveer's contact from my mom and we spoke on call a few times & decided to say yes to our families. Slowly, without even realizing, I became Rajveer obsessed from self-obsessed.", said Simar.
While describing how she knew Rajveer was the one, she told us, "There are some men who are super expressive about their emotions but rarely do their actions match their words, and then there are those who only act without even mentioning them. Rajveer is from the latter category. Always silently loving me and making efforts for me without even boasting or wanting credits for them. Actions 'always' speak louder than words." We agree!
Simar and Rajveer's roka ceremony was held on 1st May 2019 and they got married on 14th December, the same year!
Here are some pictures from her engagement ceremony!
Simar's engagement ceremony was full of fun, laughter, and lots of dancing. She looked fantabulous in an ivory Manish Malhotra couture with embellished lehenga and deep V-neck blouse. She got her eyes smoked out with hints of grey in it to match her outfit and let her hair open with soft curls in them.
Simar kickstarted her wedding celebrations with had an intimate mehendi ceremony in the comforts of her home. She looked ethereal in a self-designed lehenga that she got done from a boutique in Ludhiana.
Simar didn't have a whole lot of pictures from her celebratory mehendi ceremony. But we loved her look a lot, so decided to post whatever she provided us. She looked radiant in her vibrant pink Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla outfit that she perfectly paired up with gorgeous floral jewellery! We love her glowy makeup for the function and that cute little pink bindi which enriched her traditional outfit.
And then it was time for the traditional choora ceremony. Simar wore a gorgeous royal blue lehenga for the ceremony with foil work on it. She kept her look effortless and elegant as always.
Simar's wedding day look will leave you staring at your screens. Describing how she found her dream lehenga, Simran said, "I always wanted to wear Sabyasachi for my wedding day, and the moment I looked at the red lehenga, I absolutely loved it. I wasn’t wearing any makeup when I tried it on for the very first time and it looked really pretty! So, I decided to go with a very minimalistic look for my wedding day."
The bride let her natural beauty take over on her wedding day! She had dewy makeup on with a slight shimmer on her eyes. For jewellery, she wore a maangtikka, choker set, raani haar, traditional kaleerein and punjabi choora. The groom matched his enchanting bride in a golden sherwani and looked quite handsome on his wedding day!
The last but not the least function was Simar's wedding reception. Her saree reception look made our hearts skip a beat! Looking like an absolute golden princess on her big day, Simar looked spectacular on her wedding day. She clad herself in an all-golden handwoven sequined Sabyasachi saree with an equally striking zero neck blouse for the reception party. She embraced her newlywed elements like sindoor, a red lip, and choora with utmost perfection.
Matching her finesse, Rajveer looked dapper himself in a black sherwani with golden dupatta worn in 'behind the back and sideshow' style! The couple walked hand in hand and relished in the closing bit of their wedding ceremonies to the fullest!

Words of wisdom from Simar to brides-to-be:
"I chose different makeup artists for all occasions so that I could get different looks. I planned a bit about all looks in advance. I wanted to go for a bright red lip to give me that newly married look on my reception day and shades of nude or subtle lips on other days though I opted for a pink one for my mehendi function to make my look more vibrant." We think it's a great idea to hire different makeup artists, to add a unique personal touch to all of your looks & plan in advance what kind of makeup you want!
Next, the bride also recommended to with your first instinct while deciding your outfits and don't get too confused. The feeling of FOMO is real! She chose her outfits that created a statement but also made sure they don’t easily go out of trend and she can reuse them. "Those are my two cents for any brides planning their wedding".
