This MUA Restyled Her Wedding Lehenga Like A Pro!

A decent wedding lehenga can easily cost anywhere between 1-2 lakhs, which seems like a lot to spend on something you will wear just once. And if you are buying from ace designers like Sabyasachi, Manish Malhotra, Rimple and Harpreet or Anita Dongre, the prices can easily reach anywhere between 5-10 lakhs. Your wedding lehenga certainly deserves to get reworn again. And here’s how this well-known makeup artist did it!

Meghna, from makeupbymeghnaroda, recently posted some of her pictures where she amazingly restyled her Sabyasachi lehenga. Here are a few pictures!

Isn’t this such a glamorous way to restyle your wedding lehenga! We are swooning over her style statement.

If you are thinking about re-wearing your bridal lehenga too, here are some other ways to do it!

Just like Meghna swapped the blouse, you can swap the lehenga.

Bridal blouses are generally very heavy and extravagant. This means you can effortlessly pair them up with a simpler lehenga or a saree for a fresh and elegant look.

Use just the dupatta for a heavy traditional look

Bridal lehengas come as a four-piece set. There are two dupattas along with a lehenga and a blouse. You can break the set easily and enjoy the heavily embellished dupatta with some other traditional couture.

Pair it up with a shirt

If you want to make a style statement, then pairing your lehenga with a shirt is the right way to do it! Here’s a detailed blog on how to ace the t-shirt with lehenga look like a pro

Drape it in a different manner

Drape your dupatta in non-bridal style. Drape it loose on your side and tie it the lehenga style way, let it hang loose on one of your sides, or throw it over both your shoulders and keep it flowing from the middle.

Get it re-stitched

If you are not too attached with your lehenga, you can get it re-stitched into a heavy anarkali. This makes the outfit easily wearable to many traditional ceremonies.

One more smart way to tone down the heavy look of your bridal lehenga is to get some of the can-can removed from it. This reduces the volume and makes it more wearable as well.

Are your parents giving you a hard time on spending so much money on a lehenga that you will wear only once? Show this blog to them and get them to shell out the money on your dream lehenga, you know, because you will re-wearing it again. (and again!)
